Mina Ecosystem Funding (MEF) - Testing for a good cause

Introduction

Action: We’re looking for curious volunteers to join our initial tests of govbot, a tool we’re testing for Mina Ecosystem Funding.

Background: The Protocol Governance Team configured the initial version of the tool and is now ready to experiment. With the exploratory and gradual improvement plan, we want to test the initial implementation with a closed group to review whether this approach is correct for Mina Ecosystem Funding. You can read about the approach in the “Configuring Protocol Governance Processes” section of the Next Steps for Mina Protocol’s Governance blog post.

Context: Mina Ecosystem Funding requires a thoughtful approach and phased testing to ensure correct implementation. After this testing initiative, we’ll publish a blog post introducing and explaining the MEF concept, proposed govbot implementation, and summarizing executed tests. You can now review top-level goals and schedule for the testing phase in Testing Mina Ecosystem Funding - Proof of Concept.

Goals of the Test

  1. Have participants try to break the govbot and find bugs.
  2. Have participants use the govbot to see if it works correctly.
  3. Have participants suggest improvements about the govbot and the process.

I voted no for this proposal as it was stated on the Mina Discord that this isn’t a 501c3, but according to this page it is a 501c3:

And since we have such an awesome Turkish Community I would have loved to donate to this Turkish Fund, too bad we didn’t look any further.
